Gandhidham, 1 June 2022 : At the 83rd Cadet and Sub-Junior National Table Tennis Championship 2021 in Indore, Arya Kataria was persistent of making a place in Cadet Boys Singles Top 3 and didn’t lag behind to do so. He upheld till the finals and earned a silver.
Arya made it to the finals after beating Kush Patil (Maharashtra B) 3-0 (12-10, 11-5, 11-7) in the Round-1, Aarnav Naveen (Karnataka) 3-0 (11-7, 12-10, 11-7) in Round-2, Vishruth Ramakrishnan (Tamilnadu) 3-0 (11-8, 11-2, 11-5) in Pre-quarters, Dhairya Rawat (PSPB) 3-0 (11-8, 11-7, 11-5) in the Quarter-Finals and Vishal Garg (Chandigarh) 4-1 (11-4, 9-11, 11-6, 11-6, 12-10) in the Semi-Finals.
Though he couldn’t level up in the finals against Teshub Dinesh (Karnataka) where he lost by 1-4 (9-11, 9-11, 11-8, 6-11, 4-11), but gave a tough fight and earned a silver for Gujarat.
