Terms & Conditions for Conducting the State Tournaments Year 2024

  1. The Hall should be big enough to accommodate minimum 6 to 8 Tables.
  2. Flooring must be Wooden/Synthetic.
  3. Light intensity must be minimum 1000 Lux, uniformly spread over the playing arena.
  4. The light source shall not be less than 5.0 metres above the floor.
  5. It is mandatory for Host Association to arrange a Computer with Internet facilities and a Printer at the venue for Competition Manager and Media Manager.
  6. Sitting arrangements must be sufficient for spectators.
  7. The technical officials should be given decent accommodation on twin-sharing basis by host association.
  8. In State and Inter District Championships all participating teams should be given decent accommodation and Standard food (vegetarian) near the venue by host association.
  9. ITTF Approved STIGA Balls will be provided by the GSTTA for the Championships.
  10. Proper medical facilities should be provided at the venue. One Medical Officer/ Doctor should always be available at the venue.
  11. Presentation of trophies and medals will be decided by the GSTTA in consultation with the host association.
  12. Cash prize money as mentioned in the GSTTA circular will be awarded by the host association. If a host association wishes to award any other prizes/memento, they may do so in consultation with the GSTTA.
  13. The Chief Guest for the Opening and Closing ceremonies will be fixed by the GSTTA in consultation with the host association. The host association should take up the matter regarding guests to be invited sufficiently in advance so that proper invitation cards can be prepared and sent to all concerned. The invitation cards for Opening Ceremonies / Prize Distribution / Closing Ceremonies have to be approved by the GSTTA before printing.
  14. Technical officials will be appointed by the GSTTA and will be paid TA & DA by the host association as per the rules and regulations of the GSTTA, as notified from time to time.
  15. One technical delegate will inspect all arrangements well in advance and all his expenses will have to be borne by the host Association.
  16. President/Hon. Secretary/Treasurer of the Association will be paid traveling expenses by Air/Train 1st AC & free Boarding and lodging in a decent hotel by the host association.
  17. Proper facilities for media persons will be arranged by the host association which shall also arrange press conference prior to the commencement of the championships. All press releases with regard to the Championships have to be endorsed by the GSTTA.
  18. Proper canteen facilities should be arranged at the venue and Host association must arrange food for the players at subsidized rates and the same should be informed to the participating players prior to the tournament.
  19. Schedule and fixtures will be prepared by the Competition Manager under the supervision of the GSTTA.
  20. Members of the Selection Committee will also be provided free hospitality during the championship by the host association.
  21. Merit certificates will be printed by host association in consultation with GSTTA.

Regulations to conduct the State Tournaments Year 2024

  1. The State Ranking and State & Inter District Championships shall mean all Tournaments of the State and are ‘Prestigious’ events of the GSTTA and the host Association and players are required to treat them as such.
  2. The tournaments will be allotted to the affiliated Districts and also to Clubs and Institutions (through District Association) by the GSTTA.
  3. The venue dates and option to conduct these tournaments shall be announced by the GSTTA, through circulars / prospectus and press announcements.
  4. Affiliated Districts, Clubs and Institutions who are given the option to conduct the State Ranking Tournaments are required to pay a tournament fee of 7% of the total Entry Fees received by the host Association.
  5. The State Ranking Championships and State & Inter District Championship shall compulsorily include the following events, subject to Rule No. 6.2.

  • Note : In State & Inter District Championships in addition to the above events Team Championship Events for Mens & Womens, Junior (Under-19) Boys & Girls, Sub-Junior (Under-15) Boys & Girls shall compulsorily be included.
  1.    1. Age Eligibility :
      1. The Junior (Under-19) Boys and Girls events shall be open to only those players, who are born on or after 01.01.2006.
      2. The Junior (Under-17) Boys and Girls events shall be open to only those players, who are born on or after 01.01.2008.
      3. The Sub-Junior (Under-15) Boys and Girls events shall be open to only those players, who are born on or after 01.01.2010.
      4. The Cadet (Under-13) Boys and Girls events shall be open to only those players, who are born on or after 01.01.2012.
      5. The Hopes (Under-11) Boys and Girls events shall be open to only those players, who are born on or after 01.01.2014.
    1. The Cadet (Under-13) and Hopes (Under-11) events shall be conducted irrespective of the number of entries received. However, in the remaining compulsory events, the minimum number of entries shall be 16 except in events 2, 4, 6 and 8 where it shall be eight.
    2. There will be no restriction on participation and players will be allowed to participate all the categories. However, players will have to cooperate and adhere to the timings of the schedule.
    3. The following events may be included at the discretion of the host District Units/Clubs:

(i) Junior (Under-19) Doubles               (ii) Mixed Doubles             (iii) Women’s Doubles            (iv) Men’s Doubles

  1. The method of play shall be as stipulated in the Ranking and Seeding Rules.
  2. The Seeding shall be done according to the rules laid down by the GSTTA. The Chief Referee under the supervision of the Competition Manager shall follow the Ranking/ Seeding and it will be issued by the GSTTA as soon as the “Open Draw” is completed. If in any case any of the “Seed” is not participating, the next “Seed” in line will be elevated.
  3. Merit Certificates and Cash Prizes to the Winners, Runner and 2nd Runner-up as per GSTTA criteria will be presented by the host.
  4. All the players must submit their entries for tournaments online through their respective District Association. Direct entry from individual will not be entertained.
  5. Prospectus and Entry Form for State Rankings and State & Inter District Championships shall be sent by GSTTA to all the affiliated District Associations, Clubs and Institutions at least 15 days prior to the commencement of the Championship.
    1. The prospectus should inter-alia mention:
      1. That the Championship is conducted under the direction of the GSTTA and under the rules and regulations laid down by the TTFI.
      2. The Dates and Venue of the Championships.
      3. Last date of entries.
      4. Events to be played, along with the entry fees.
    2. The Competition Manager and host shall send to the State Association the following details within 7 days of the conclusion of the Championships.
      1. Certified copies of the Draw for all events.
      2. Detailed results of all events with scores.
      3. One to Sixteen position of all events.
      4. Photographs of Tournament mainly ceremonial pictures.
      5. Any other information which in the opinion of the Host Association/ Competition Manager should be brought to the State Association notice including details of instance of indiscipline of Players/Coaches/Parents and misconduct and performance of Umpires etc.
    3. The GSTTA shall nominate a member of the Technical Committee to attend the Championships to guide the Organizers. The Competition Manager, Chief Referee and Technical Delegates will take decision on behalf of the GSTTA. All the Technical Officials and Observers nominated by GSTTA will be provided free Boarding & Lodging by the host during the above-mentioned Tournaments/ Championships. TA/DA shall be paid by the host as per the criteria.
    4. The Chief Referee under the supervision of the Competition Manager will conduct the draw for the Tournament in consultation with GSTTA.
    5. Entry / Registration Fees: The District Associations should send entries of the players along with relevant fees. It will be the responsibility of the District Associations to collect the entry fees and send to the host Association and also Registration fees to be sent to the GSTTA. If some players fail to turn up after entering, the fees of those who have entered but not withdrawn before the deadline will be paid by the respective District Associations. The Entry fee is payable along with the Entry Form and is NON-REFUNDABLE.
  6. All Umpiring will be in ENGLISH.
  7. It is mandatory to have Scoreboards on all the tables of the tournament. Scoreboards must be arranged by host Association.
  8. ITTF/TTFI approved Tables and ITTF approved STIGA Balls will be used for the Tournament.
  9. On all matters pertaining to the Championship not covered under the above rules, the decision of the executive committee of the GSTTA shall be final and binding.
