Defending champions Ahmedabad, Surat get easy draws
Gandhidham 23, September: Defending champions in the men’s and women’s categories-Ahmedabad and Surat respectively-will have an easy passage to semi-final stage as they received easy draws at the prestigious Gujarat State and Inter-District Table Tennis Championships 2024, organised by Gujarat State Table Tennis Association (GSTTA)-which will be played at the Late MP Mittra Indoor Stadium, Haresh Sangtani Sports Complex, Adipur in Gandhidham from September 23 to 27.
The Sports Authority of Gujarat and Kutch District Table Tennis Association (KDTTA)-supported tournament, which carries maximum points in the state TT calendar, is sponsored by Jodac Shipping Line Pvt. Ltd, co-sponsored by State Bank of India, associate sponsored by Kiran Foundation, equipment sponsored by Stiga and Gandhidham Chamber of Commerce & Industries.
With over 520 entries, the tournament was declared open on Monday by Shri Amit Paul, BDM, Jodac Shipping Line Pvt. Ltd and was inaugurated by Shri Mukesh Kumar, regional manager, SBI.
