Good outing for Khushi in Indore

Gandhidham, Mar.1: It was a memorable outing for Bhavnagar-based Khushi Jadav at the ongoing UTT 82nd National Cadets and Sub Junior Table Tennis Championships 2020 at Indore. Competing in the sub juniors girls section, Khushi managed last 16 stage.
Having cleared the qualifying stage by toping the group, Khushi got a bye in the first round before she defeated Ananya Donekal (TTFI) 11-7 8-11 11-8 6-11 9-11. In the pre-quarters pitted against, Suhana Saini of Haryana, the Gujarat paddler gave a good fight and scored some brilliant points but they were in patches. She lost 5-11 5-11 3-11.
Meanwhile, in the cadet section Pratha Pawar, Jiya Trivedi and Mouboni Chatterjee lost their respective first round matches of the main draw. Mouboni lost to Diva Ahuja (8-11 11-13 12-10 6-11), Jiya went down to Avisha Karmakar (8-11 8-11 8-11) while Pratha was defeated by Teetiksha Goel (6-11 11-9 11-7).
