Bhavnagar’s Jignesh Jayswal, Om Jayswal book main draw berths

Bhavnagar 04 June: Bhavnagar’s old-war horse and most experienced paddler Jignesh Jayswal won both his qualifying round matches to book his main draw berth in the men’s category of the Mircosign 1st Gujarat State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2025 which is organised by Bhavnagar District Table Tennis Association (BDTTA) under the aegis of Gujarat State Table Tennis Association (GSTTA) at SAG Sports Complex, Sidsar Road, Bhavnagar from June 4 to 7.

Another paddler from Jayswal household, Om Jayswal, too followed the footsteps of his famous uncle Jignesh and entered men’s main draw after sealing two wins in his qualifying rounds.

Another Bhavnagar impressing in the qualifying rounds was Poojan Chandarana who sailed through to the junior boys (U-19) main draw after two comfortable wins in qualifying rounds.

In the U-17 boys qualifying rounds, local lad Kahan Gohel entered the main draw after a stupendous show in qualifying rounds. Ahmedabad’s Aarya Kataria played well to beat comeback boy Vivaan Dave of Surat in their qualifying encounter.
