Injured Manush to miss World Junior T. T. Championship

Gandhidham, Nov.12: India Table Tennis Junior Boys team suffered a huge setback ahead of World Junior Championship scheduled in Thailand. Youth top ranked player and Gujarat’s Manush Shah suffered muscle injury during the ongoing National Ranking Table Tennis Championships 2019 at Bhavnagar.Manush Shah_7Nov2019

The primary examination by doctors suggest, the Vadodara-based paddler has suffered muscle hematoma- blood collection within the muscle of about 3cm x 3.4 cm. Manush has been advised for re-evaluation after 10 days to decide further course of treatment.

It also means Manush will miss the Patiala camp and will not be able to represent the country in the forthcoming World Junior Championship at Thailand starting from 24th November 2019.

“It is very unfortunate. For any player, it is big moment to represent a country. However, we hope it will be speedy recovery and Manush will be back in action soon,” said Shri Vipul Mittra, IAS, president of Gujarat State Table Tennis Association.
