GSTTA joint secretary Dilip Shah  loses his battle against Covid19

Gandhidham, Aug.28: Gujarat State Table Tennis Association lost valuable joint secretary and Secretary of Sabarkantha District TT Association Dilip Shah who succumbed to Coronavirus in hospital at Gandhinagar on Friday. He was 73.

Shah is survived by wife, son and daughter. His wife is also infected and battling the deadly disease in hospital.

Thorough gentleman, Shah was actively involved in development of Table Tennis in the region. He tested positive for the Covid19 and shifted to hospital in Gandhinagar last week.

GSTTA president Shri Vipul Mittra, IAS, expressed grief over the demise of veteran administrator and termed him a diligent table tennis member.

“My heartfelt condolences to Shah family. Dilipbhai has contributed a lot towards the game, especially in Sabarkantha. GSTTA will miss him. May his soul rest in peace,” said Mittra, while paying tribute to the departed soul. The GSTTA president also prayed for the speedy recovery of Shah’s wife. “Mrs. Shah is fighting the battle and on behalf of GSTTA I pray for her win against Covid19,” said Mittra.
